No notification vibration in iOS 18 on iPhone 15 Pro Max

Since I have updated to iOS 18 I have lost vbibrations for all notifications while my phone is in Silent Mode. I work in a setting which keeping my phone in Silent Mode is best. I have done this for years and the vibration for texts, calls, emails, etc. has worked great.

Things I have tried/checked prior to posting this:

  • Settings/Sounds & Haptics - Confirmed haptics is set to Always Play
  • Settings/Sounds & Haptics - Tried cycling from Always Play to other options and back to Always Play
  • Settings/Accessibility/Touch - confirmed vibration is on
  • Settings/Notifications/Messages - confirmed Allow Notifications is on
  • Settings/Notifications/Messages/Sounds - confirmed Haptics is on the custom pattern I've used for years
  • Settings/Notifications/Messages/Sounds - tried mulitple Standard Haptic patterns which didn't work either
  • Confirmed I don't have a Focus Profile on which would impact how notifications are delivered
  • I went so far as to Reset All Settings which didn't solve the problem either

I have noticed the vibrations work if I'm signed into the phone at the home screen or in another app. The issue is I am not receiving any vibrations while the phone is locked and the screen is off.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Same issue here - I went Settings/Accessibility/Touch - confirmed vibration was off (I didn't turn it off).

Try a hard reset- tap vol up then vol down, then hold down tight button until you see the Apple logo...

After rebooting go to Settings/Accessibility/Touch - confirm the vibration is on.
