IOS 18 updates had deleted my messages

I updated my iPhone and watch to IOS 18, i deleted my messages from my watch. now all those messages are also deleted from my phone. This never happened before the update

My iPhone is deleting one persons messages each day. My setting is on keep forever but it is still deleting.
