Autofill of SMS/eMail Verification Codes Not Working on iPhone

Using iOS 17.6.1 on iPhone 15. Using Mac, I am able to get autofill to work for Verification Codes via SMS and eMail (and even deletes the message once used) but not on the iPhone. I do have Settings/Passwords/Password Options/ AutoFill Passwords & Passkeys (as well as Delete After Use) turned on.

Is there somewhere else that I need to adjust the Settings to get this feature to work properly?

Thanks,

Paul

Same problem for me, it seems that since the latest IOS update I am not getting autofill popups when a 2FA code is sent to me in text message. On macOS it still works fine, but not on my iPhone. It is annoying because it has been working fine for years and the only reason I turned on 2FA on many of my accounts is because I knew it was going to be easy to fill in the numbers when asked. I need it for bank accounts, credit accounts, many places, now I am forced to go to my text messages, memorize that number, and type them in.

As intended, at any rate, when you're on the relevant website and you've received the code via SMS it should appear above the keyboard and you can just tap it to enter the code.

Is that not working that way for you?

I don't know whether autofill of a verification code via email is a feature in iOS. Perhaps someone else here will know.

Regards.

I did post that I was able to figure out the Calendar issue so I am really back to the original question "Using Mac, I am able to get autofill to work for Verification Codes via SMS and eMail (and even deletes the message once used) but not on the iPhone. I do have Settings/Passwords/Password Options/ AutoFill Passwords & Passkeys (as well as Delete After Use) turned on.

I thought the Calendar issue could have been symptomatic of this original issue but turns out it wasn't.

WogewWabbit, I feel your pain. However, some good news, and I didn't make any changes, yesterday I received a code from my phone and to my phone and was able to click and enter the code instead of manually entering. Maybe there was a fix but sure would like to know from one of the Community Wizards what was happening and how to prevent in the future.

I can't even get the autofill from 2FA to work on my IOS- I see the code pop up, but when I click on it to enter, it just disappears and doesn't actually fill the passcode field. By then, the email itself has been auto-deleted, so I can't even go back and find the code. I've realized that I have to either memorize the code or take a screenshot, b/c the autofill never works. I'm using a 2023 MacBook Air, IOS fully up to date. The autofill hasn't worked for at least a year, but it used to.
