Can I downgrade my iPhone from iOS 18 to the previous version?

I have updated to iOS 18 and now my games have gotten lag here and every time I call my friend who’s on android it says would you like to hang up this this person is not in contact when she’s in my contacts

I can't imagine that iOS 18 has deleted the sound from your video. This may seem a silly suggestion. There is a speaker option at the bottom of the screen while a video is playing. Is there a line through the speaker indicating no sound is played? Another silly suggestion. Have you tried turning up the volume while the video is playing?

What happens to you when you click on a video in a folder and click slideshow? Do you even have any folders? You won’t know what I’m talking about if you don’t. Music Automatically plays is what I mean you can’t take it off. I still have the original video. It’s just when I click slideshow as I have already said in a previous message.

Great!! How? I've heard this but no one has described how. There is no way to get the sprawl of all pics from the home display. It's ugly and unorganized and completely defeats the purpose of having the albums on the home screen for showing others or viewing your pics.

Customer service said I had to return to factory settings and then I would recover pictures lost with update. WHY would I trust that when it took me three layers of employees just to get that answer. BABY PICTURES GONE!!!

Did anyone find out if there was a way to go back to iOS 17? The 18 does not allow my text messages to show up in Apple CarPlay while listening to the radio. I hate it. It’s much more unsafe and very inconvenient. I hate the new photos layout but I can deal with that. I can not deal with not getting my text messages while driving.

Hi I have XS max and I just updated on 18.3.1 I shouldn’t do that now my Air pods animation vanished my camera doesn’t work properly I can’t turn on my flashlight btw it’s working but only when I click on photos and in my widget my photos vanished in a square 4 example where it’s calendar so u can scroll like u know what I mean I shouldn’t do that and I don’t have Mac laptop to back up and downgrade an old version and I don’t have USB cable to connect on my HP laptop because I have a C cable for charging and wireless charger wich I don’t understand why they don’t notice us NOT to update on but older devices idk what to do now it bugs me how can I downgrade an previous version of iOS where everything was working like suppose to I mean NOTHING change the look exe u can change colors on the apps in the widget this is ridiculous why I did that and what should I do pls help me…

I have never had an issue with an update before, but the iOS 18 has actually made it harder to use my phone. Why was the screen color changed? Apple do you understand you have made it more difficult for some of us to use our phones?!? The entire point of an update is to upgrade, to improve your product. You missed the mark!

Apple you need to either (A) provide a way for those of us who are having issues remove the update without losing our data. Or (B) come out with a update that fixes the screen color and photo storage immediately.

I have been a loyal Apple customer for years. I had not even considered other brands when getting a new phone, but I will buy a different brand phone if this is not fixed! I’m not going to keep a phone that is harder for me to use!

You aren't writing anyone from Apple here. This is a user to user only forum, which no one from Apple actively participates, nor reads for user feedback.

I have no clue what you mean by the color of the screen was changed? The color of the screen on my phone wasn't changed in any way by the update.

Apple doesn't provide a path backward with iOS versions, so telling Apple they need to do that here, is a waste of your time. Again, because you aren't writing Apple here.

Threatening other users you will buy another brand of phone, is a threat, that falls flat here too. Again, because we are all users here, just like you and we honestly don't care what phone you buy. You SHOULD buy whatever phone you think makes the most sense for you.

Now, if you're having issues, instead of making threats and complaining, what have you actually done to try to resolve them? Have you for example visited the Apple Store Genius Bar for in-person assistance (which is free, by the way)? Have you tapped the Support Button at the bottom of this page? Have you called Apple at: 800-MY-APPLE?

Hi..I have problems as well with ios 18.3.1. Everything was working until i updated the latest version AND what happened on my iPhone my camera doesn’t work properly,like it’s working,but not like it should and used to..And my flashlight doesn’t work when I want to turn it on,it works only in camera..And same thing,my AirPods animation and settings vanished they just connect I see only notification when connected but no pop up,and that’s it I can see the animation when I reset them,I knew something is not ok I had a feeling NOT to install new version because it asks me for more storage wich I saw for the first time I mean nothing change spectacular,and all I notices that u can change color on ur app and that’s it lol…It’s annoying and the agent from Apple support told me that he see like my flashlight camera and all that DOESN’T work AT ALL?!?! What’s?! Yes I know the Apple support agent told me I’m so mad some functions not working in my phone like they used this sucks because everything’s is actually working..I love iOS love apple products but this never been like this they changed is the colors and I’m not happy w of thy

Same as mine exactly same issues but we cant downgrade they told me in Apple support to go take my iPhone to servise but its time for a new one i think it cost money for servise the iPhone more than new one lol like few ppl told me here its probably that i changed battery ,capacity of IPhone,and older model but again its been working normally till i install latest version then everything messed up in it..Same like urs in camera 1x 2x zoom cant zoom it with fingers like bef ,AirPods animation vanished ,back cam wount work sometimes and sometimes it does,flashlight same thing two days ago it was working now again not,and i think its not just bec its bit older model (XS MAX) its because of battery i think,capacity ,older model and i nožice when i charge him till 100% flashlight is working but AirPods animation wount and i tried to do it reset them the go in forget device and connect again(but nothing changed) and camera is buginn’ me the most well we have similiar issues but we cant downgrade u can only take it to servise like i was told in support or buy a new one same like they told me…..

Its not changed in Apple store it was in iCentar here in Zagreb but the battery is not from Apple its not original battery but its new and till now i didn’t have any issues with it till I installed this 18.3.1. iOS idk sometimes flashlight is working sometimes not and camera is not working properly I don’t see AirPods animation but they connect I mean it’s messed up and everything was working perfectly untill this latest software version.
