And sometimes iOS updates just ***. A lot of people don’t like this one. It’s not about fearing change. This update isn’t an improvement for everyone, especially on older devices. Really unhelpful to say “get over it, or never try any new updates again.” Apple should make the old styles an option in their settings.

Alex ~ Your iPhone XS Max could be 6½ years old and the long process of applying an iOS update to an iPhone with a weak, aging battery can be the proverbial "straw that broke the camel's back." So...

Does your iPhone XS Max still have its original battery?

And what's the Maximum Capacity % here?...

Its not changed in Apple store it was in iCentar here in Zagreb but the battery is not from Apple its not original battery but its new and till now i didn’t have any issues with it till I installed this 18.3.1. iOS idk sometimes flashlight is working sometimes not and camera is not working properly I don’t see AirPods animation but they connect I mean it’s messed up and everything was working perfectly untill this latest software version.

Yep, that is a problem. Update or not, your battery was going to give you problems. That is a constant issue seen here all the time with a non-genuine battery. The update may have increased battery demand while downloading and indexing the files after the update where you are now seeing the results, but that is like putting diesel fuel in your car and blaming it for not working correctly.

You should prepare yourself for phone shutdowns, increased loss of performance, and charging issues, all of which have been reported due to that battery install. Apple is not likely to provide any service to the phone now, which is why you were told to purchase a new one.

Capacity is 100% it showing in my settings that is 100% when I open health battery but it’s not original so yeah

A battery health reading of 100% after a year of use is a clear indication that something is wrong with the battery or the battery controller that is built into the battery.

I guess, But I’m clicking on slideshow first on a video I like in a small folder, there is no option of having the videos audio only either muting it or having rubbish music over the top. I really liked the magazine style they had in the last update. It would zoom in on the person and have a nice fade into the next video but I guess they took that out.

You can't have it.

You can also look at some of the hundreds of email apps available in the App Store and see if any of them better suit you.

People’s names coming up when typing in a phone number is so distracting and not necessary.. can that be turned off!?

That's a feature people have been asking Apple for for years. It does not appear possible to turn it off.

I have the same question and would PAY to go back!!! My photos are now a mess. My sense of organization is NOT YOURS. So PLEASE offer a return to previous IOS version. Many Apple clients unhappy. DITCH 18.01 and show you’re listening!

You aren't speaking to anyone from Apple here. This is a user to user only forum and Apple isn't going to provide a path backwards in iOS. They have NEVER supported downgrading. EVER.

You clearly haven't learned that you can customize the photo app. See how here --> Customize the Photos app on iPhone - Apple Support
