iPad Pro (2018) usb not working AFTER iPadOS 18 update

Before update, while running iPadOS 17.6.1, was able to charge (to be able to update) and recognized by Macbook and PC to enter DFU mode using usbc.

Updated to iPadOS 18 (final release not beta) and usb port no longer charges or is recognized by PC or Mac. Using official Apple usbc cord and 20W charge block. Also tried to Reset All Settings in case something wasn't updating, this also did not work.

This to me looks like an obvious software issue (considering things worked fine 5min prior to update). What, if any solutions are there to get the usbc port working again?

Running on iPad Pro 512gb (A1876), never had any issues until this update.

Exactly the same here. We won't even be able to update it when they (hopefully) release a fix as the ipad will have died. Only way to charge it (I tested it in a store) is to charge via the magic keyboard and connect USB-c to magic keyboard. Also not able to downgrade as cable is needed (but USB-c port not working)... Looks like I'll have to send it to apple to get a new one (annoying but at least it's under warranty still). I have an ipad air 11'' from 2023.
