Not able to sign into iMessage in macOS Sequoia

I'm unable to sign into iMessage on Sequoia. I enter my Apple ID and password and get an error. "An unknown error occurred." Any suggestions?

you can try signing out of AppleID and back in again.

Then try again your Messages.app
