CarPlay not working

iPhone 14 Pro Max not hooking up to my Chevy with USB wire. I’ve changed cord and changed usb connection on car. The weird thing is my car charges the phone and recognizes that my phone is connected but won’t start carplay. So in my vehicle after deleting phones list I hook up phone to usb and the car recognizes it name shows up on list but my phone doesn’t list car and the CarPlay won’t start. ??? Any help would be appreciated. I feel like I’m missing a setting on my phone.
