Logic Pro 11.01 / Surround panner issues and center channel latency compensation

Is anyone experiencing issues with Logic’s surround panner in 7.1.4 Atmos production where the side surround channels don’t play unless another pair of channels are active (e.g., rear surrounds)? If only the side surrounds are selected, there’s no output. The workaround I’ve found is to enable an additional pair of channels to get sound from the side surrounds.

Also, I’m noticing that center channel latency compensation doesn’t align with the L and R mains unless latency compensation is disabled for all. The center channel latency compensation is only accurate to the mains when Logic is set to compensate for ‘Audio Instruments and Tracks’ or ‘None’. Has anyone else encountered these issues?
