Is there a way I can assign a colour to particular characters before I start the creation of my document?
For example, If I have a structured guide in which colour for the letter A will be Red in every instance of it's appearance throughout the document, can I apply a setting somewhere so when I type a at any point, it is already in the colour red, and so on for any other character.
What you want to do is not supported in Pages. It might be accomplished with elaborate AppleScript coding to change specific characters to a color — after you have entered and saved your structured guide in Pages.
