CD music not shared from old (Intel) Mac to new M2

I have two Macs, a new M2 and an older Intel model. The old Mac has the CD and I used it to import some CDs into Music. My goal was to listen to CD music on the new Mac, but it's not seeing CD tracks. Both Macs use the same Apple ID. Everything is up to date, all that.

The attachment (see below) appears to be good. I also tried both library names the same. No good.

Sharing is not enabled on the new Mac, but even if I do enable it, it turns sharing off after a minute or two.

Maybe media sharing cannot be between devices of the same Apple ID? I do too much work between the two Macs that changing the Apple ID of the old one is not an option. I can ignore this trivial issue.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Media Sharing is done across the same Apple ID. That's specifically how it works.

To access the old mac's library from the new one, open the Music App on the new one, and click on the downward arrow next to the Library section in the sidebar. It should then list available shared libraries.

Click on the library from the old Mac to load it.
