Card won't add to Apple Pay

The card I had been using for Apple Pay for a year stopped working. It won't let me add the new card, citing an incorrect expiration date. The expiration date is accurate. I've deleted the card from my wallet and have restarted my phone, but the problem persists. My bank says this is an issue with Apply Pay, not the card. I use the card frequently otherwise.

Previous forums mention entering a 4-digit year in the expiration date option, but the app does not provide the option to enter the date in manually. You must scroll and select the date and only two-digit options are given.

confirming my reply I sent on September 3. Please advise.

In the wallet app. The card is attached to my Apple ID account as well. I went in and deleted and re-entered the exp date info there to see whether that would work but it doesn't--I still get the same "incorrect expiration date" info when I attempt to add it to Apple Pay via the Wallet app.
