Shared task app for family watches?

My husband and I have iPhones and Apple Watches, and we bought Apple Watches (without phones) for our kids. I would like to have an app that allows us to create and share task lists with our kids' watches, but the only app I have found that seems to work on that level is the Reminders app, which isn't ideal.

The block I keep running into is that most task apps require an iPhone -- they won't work independently with an Apple Watch. Does anyone know of an app besides the Reminders app that would allow us to have shared task lists with the kids' Apple Watches?
