Dropped iPhone has only half a visible screen.

My daughter dropped her iPhone 11 and now the screen is only half visible (see attached). The screen isn't broken in any way but it is behaving strangely. It keeps flicking between messages (of which I can only read half) one of which looks as if it says something to do with clicking a button to reset the phone.

Does anyone have any ideas or tips on how I might be able to get this handset working again or is it broken beyond repair?

That’s a challenge and I feel sorry for you.

What you could do is:

  1. Make a repair with Apple Care plus
  2. Make a private repair
  3. Leave it as it is (but you will notice it will become steadily worse)
  4. Get a new phone with Apple care plus on it
  5. Insurance claim
  6. For your next phone invest in a real case and/or screen protector
  7. Get a Phone from one of those cheap shops you see on the streets (there actually not that bad and I can recommend some)
  8. Some of these links may help you:
