Apps using iCloud Is this data recoverable if backup is turned off? If not, what’s the point of Apps using iCloud option

That is one very long sentence that is a run-on sentence I cannot understand. If I were to guess what it means, it seems to combine two very different things:

  • Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings, which erases local information on your iPhone.
  • Apps Using iCloud, which refers to data that is stored in iCloud.


I cannot possibly understand the rest of what you wrote.

I’ve tried this three times now, but this data is restored every time. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you for your time.
