Some calls are not showing up on notifications or call log at all

About half of my incoming FaceTime video calls from my friend abroad are not showing up on my phone at all. No notifications, no call history. And on occasion, they have even been answered by "me" but with no video or sound (and I have not answered them). I have updated my software, reset my network and changed the SIM card.
