Group Messages Now Include Myself as a Member on MacBook Pro

Recently, group messages began including myself as a member of the group message on my MacBook Pro. On my iPhone and iPad, a group message will include the members it is supposed to - they are listed properly at the top of the message. On my MacBook Pro, when someone responds, all responses have been created in a new group chat with the members PLUS myself.

What is even more strange is that when I send a message to the group message from my iPhone, that message is included in the original group message on my MacBook (the one that does not include me). But as soon as a person in the group message responds, their response is in the new group message (the one that does include me).

So basically, group messages on my iPhone and iPad work properly. Group messages on my MacBook Pro are now split between 2 different threads, causing me to have to flip back and forth to understand what was said.

Unfortunately Apple calls the messages "forwarded", so while they show up properly on your phone, they are "forwarded" to you on your other Apple products, hence the dual thread. If we want to keep the whole conversation intact, we can only respond/reply using our phones. This started for me when I installed the newest OS on my iMac and I sure hope Apple fixes fit soon.
