Transferring photos from iPod Touch 2nd Generation

I have a 2nd generation iPod Touch (model MB533LL) and have used the iMazing app to transfer music from it to my MacBook Pro. However, the iPod is too old (manufactured 2008) for transferring the many photos on it to my laptop. Is there a workaround I can use to transfer the photos?
