Calling my daughter on FaceTime also calls my wife

As the title says really. I'm trying to get my daughter to give her iCloud email address out to her friends for FaceTime video calls rather than using my phone number but, when I try to call her iCloud email as a test, it calls my wife's number as well so I get both of them.

Why would that be? They don't share an email address...

facetime/apple id/two ipads 2 kids each of their own ipads, but are sharing an apple id and apps. Each of them will imessage or facetime me, but i dont know how to tell which kid is contacting me. any way to differentiate the ipads using same apple id? i'd really rather not set them up another apple id with a new email account, and they also have tons of shared app stuff so it would be a headache.
