LaCie not recognised_Sonoma_14.6.1

Hi all,

I'm having this problem with my 1TB LaCie harddrive not being recognised by my Mac. Currently on Sonoma 14.6.1, but this has been an issue for over a month or so. I thought it was my cable or the port, etc. Nope. It's the Mac not recognising it. I tried going through System Information -> USB. Not there. I tried changing from 'volumes' to 'Show all devices' in Disk Utility. Nothing. What's the current word/update on this? I work at a University and LaCie harddrives are our go-to external storage option.

Hi, also having an issue, I have a 6TB (2x 3TB) older LaCie drive that I can't seem to get my M1 to recognise. It works in older Macs, but not M1. No idea why. I've tried everything and scouted on the internet. Any suggestions? It appears Seagate (LaCie brand owner) and Apple aren't talking to each other. Super annoying as would be great to actually USE the hard drives!
