Solved old problems with section layouts

I am using macOS Sonoma 14.5 and pages 14.1.

I solved the problem I was having with section layouts in pages. For me, the problem was with the text background under format- style -more text options- text backgrounds

at some point, I must have been highlighting and changed the color to white.

Once I selected no background, my section layout is in the background again.

Under the arrange menu, the move forward and backward are still grayed out, but I have my section layout as a watermark again.

I fought this for so long and even had a person from tech-support helping me. She determined it might be a program problem. Turned out like so many other times it is actually a user problem.

Hope this helps some of the others that we’re having the same issue.
