Formatting made on the page is not shown in Page View

Hi,

I’m a sci-fi writer and I spent a considerable amount of time on the front page formatting, only to realize it won’t change (I think) the final draft. As I saw in Page View, none of my formatting edits were saved. Can someone please explain to me why this is/how to fix it?
