Every new OS update sends my M2 macpro into DFU mode.

I’ve been a Mac user since 1984 and gone through a gazillion OS updates and never have. I been more frustrated than now. It is unbelievable that since transitioning to the M chips I have run into nothing but trouble. I have a brand new Mac Pro, M2, ultra machine and an M3 MacBook Pro. Each one has ended up in DFU mode when trying to update OS. This is crazy. My MacBook Pro had to be restored, not revived, so I had to completely rebuild it and get it up and running. My Mac Pro last time was able to be revived. And now with the update to 14.6.1 I’m going through the DFU process once again. I have no idea what to do and now I’m scared to death to do updates. Apple has to fix this.
