Pages document disappeared even if saved multiple times ?

On the outside chance that you have Spotlight indexing on and it is indexing the Documents results category, you can find that Pages document by issuing the following in either the Spotlight tool 🔍 or a new Finder Window search box:

kind:pages created:>06/01/2024

That will show any Pages document created after June 1.

Pages will continue to save documents in the last folder where it was saved previously — until you change that folder location.

What you might try is to open a new Pages document and then click File menu : Save… without actually saving it. The folder location may contain your missing document.

Some of the Pages recently opened document names appear in the list on the Pages Dock icon. Clicking one of these filenames should open it — unless the document was written to a mounted volume that is now unmounted, the file has been moved from the location associated with that recent item, or it has been deleted.

Do your Pages Documents get saved on iCloud? If so perhaps you should search your iCloud. Files don’t delete themselves so there is just something different about where you’re looking for it.
