Calls from father go straight to voicemail when I’m on a FaceTime call

When I am on Facetime and my dad tries to call my phone it sends him straight to voicemail and it doesn't show in my call logs that I recieve a call from him. It doesn't happen all the time. Sometimes his calls go through and sometimes they go straight to voicemail while I am on Facetime.
