Apple pencil pro disconnecting very frequently

I am an artist and have been using the new ipad pro and apple pencil pro to draw. After some use, the apple pencil will stop working and it will not draw from a couple of seconds to a couple of minutes. It is very disruptive to my workflow. I’ve noticed when I’m trying to get it to work again, the brush cursor will sometimes be visibly off-set from where the pen is touching the screen.

When the pen won’t draw, I can still tap and squeeze the pencil and get a response, the shortcuts will always work for me, it just won’t draw. It is always still connected to bluetooth, and the tip is always screwed in. Does anyone else have this issue? Is there any known ways to resolve it, or would it be beneficial to take it to an Apple store to get checked?

I have found these issues only occur if my iPad is charging while I’m drawing. Even while plugged into a brand new authentic Apple charge cable and brick, my pencil randomly stops working properly. As soon as I unplug from the charge, the issues resolve and the pencil works fine 100% of the time. It’s certainly not a “fix” but hopefully provides a workaround for you.
