If we have a homepod mini upstairs in the living room playing the sound from our TV, can I have one in the basement playing my music without one affecting the other? But still be able to intercom between the two?
Sometimes my iphone 12 pro mac plays my music on the upstairs homepod when I don't want it to , so I was wondering if two could be separated like this?

Yes you can for certain things but not from an Apple Music account, it only lets you use one device at a time.
