Latest iOS update 17.6 shortens battery life on iPhone

Even if you did, you would not be able to go back to iOS 17.5.x. Remember that updates are a one way street and you can't go backwards.

Yes, my iPhone 15 Pro battery has been taking only 5 hours from 100% to 20% ie Low Power Mode and completely crashing below 10%. Literally the day before updating it was a good 18-24hr cycle. Hopefully a bug to be fixed? This device is too new and way too expensive to brick inside two years. Real planned obsolescence vibes imho

I was about to pay Apple for installing a new battery but I suspected a problem with the new iOS and I read your posts.

The battery of my iPhone SE 3rd generation is crashing really fast since the new update of iOS 17.6.

Apple says that a "good battery" is when it's over 80% of its capacity.

Mine is at 86%.

It's not normal that the battery crashes so fast if I do nothing with my iPhone.

I will cancel the replacement of my battery and wait.

There is quite a bit of housekeeping that needs to take place after an update. Give it several days before you judge any change to expected battery life.
