Remove notifications that don't appear in safari notifications centre

How do I remove notifications that don't even appear in the safari notification centre? These are websites that I never visit but have run malware scans. Can't find a way to permanently remove them from the settings notification pane, only to deny.

Forget about the bottom picture. If you do not want to be harassed by Notifications then select and remove everything in the top picture. It should be empty. Blank. Like this:

Make it so.

The particular Notifications you encounter may not be obviously related YouTube or Google or Ring (whatever that is). In most cases they are arise from advertisements those sites profit from hosting. That makes it difficult to correlate to any particular website. If you are morbidly curious, re-select "Allow websites to ask..." and then selectively determine which are the more egregious offenders. In most cases, they are solicitations for junk products you don't need, and are likely to inundate you with even more harassment.

You may need to log out / log in again or restart your Mac to make those changes effective.

Once again, it's not malware. Those Notifications appear because you agreed to them. The User Tip above explains. If you installed some non-Apple "anti-virus" or "anti-malware" product, uninstall it. It's not helping. It may even be causing the problem. Rule 1 of Macs is don't install junk.

If you have a look at the first picture it’s safari notifications centre, the websites on the bottom picture list the settings notifications. You will see they don’t appear in safari notifications eg uk.bestbuys.today so I can’t remove them because they don’t appear in safari’s notifications. I don’t understand how they are even in my notifications, hence why I suspected malware. In setting notifications the only option is to deny or reset, no option to remove from that pane. I do appreciate your help.

So when you say “forget the bottom picture” which is notifications in settings, I assume you mean they can’t be removed.. This was exactly what the post is asking! I know how to remove them from safari notifications centre, those left there I want to keep. I wanted to remove from my notifications list on settings and wondered why they are there and not in safari notifications. Perhaps it’s not possible then.

I don't know. I do know they have no bearing on your question. As I wrote, if you want certain specific Notifications to appear, I'd start by removing all of them, re-select "Allow websites to ask..." and when a dialog asks you if you want that site to send Notifications, allow them from only those sites you need. That's the only way to determine which are offensive and which are welcome.
