Iphone 13 Pro Camera Works On and off after series of drops

My kid threw my phone couple of days back. After the fall, the rear camera only shows a black screen. If i flip to the front camera, it takes time to load but comes up finally. I did a complete reset of the phone, but nothing works to get the camera up again.

The next day, i accidentally drop the phone and behold the rear camera starts working again. The switch between Front and rear camera is also quite fast like before.

Over the next few days, drop the phone once, it stops working. Then with another drop it works flawlessly.

I updated to 17.6 last night to check if it is a S/w issue when it was not working. Today i dropped again and it started working.

How can i address this issue? What is happening? Is it a hardware issue.

I have a very hard shell case + Spigen Screen protector to safeguard from these drops. Until now, Even with a series of drops, haven't had any scratch on the phone even though it fell from a height of 6ft. No Sign of scratches/dust on the camera lenses.

Hi SravanKrA,

Thanks for the response. I have contacted Apple support and their only option is replacement of the entire rear camera support.

Why is that there is always replacement. If it has stopped working permanently, i agree to have replacement.

But it is working and from the past 2 days i have been testing the camera with previous photo samples and it doesn't have any issues.

Is it a bad connector? Don't know. I would be happy if they can open the phone in front of me and say, look this IC is Kaput, so we have to replace it.
