iCloud emails not sending

Yesterday my iCloud emails stopped sending. They are showing in my sent items but the recipient does not receive. I have tried sending to various recipients from iPhone Mac mail outlook for Mac and the iCloud web app, all show as sent but are not received. I seem to be receiving iCloud emails ok.

Any suggestions how to unblock?

I talked to Apple Support just now. Not “sending” was an internal problem that has been fixed. At least mine now works. I had another problem in that I was not getting sound notifications when I received email. Here is the solution: I had not been getting sound (R2-D2) when mail is received. They added something in the last update, ( I think, 17.5.1)settings/mail/notifications/CUSTOMIZE NOTIFICATIONS/accounts———this is where you add sounds. Mine was preset at “none” just in case your stuff is acting that way.

I do not know why Apple does not post these solutions on this discussion page when the find them

Same here.

Since the 28 July 2024 I’ve been receiving non-iCloud emails but nothing from other iCloud email addresses.

I’ve noticed that when I send an email it goes from the ‘Drafts’ box, appears in the ‘Sent’ box but the recipients don’t receive them.

My wife & my parents are experiencing exactly the same issue, so I know it’s not just me.
