move iMovie project from Mac 1 to Mac 2

I created a 37 min rough draft of a project in iMovie on my MacBook Pro. I created a new iMovie Library to put the project in, so I could move the project to my iMac for completion. Now, 

1) how do I put the project into the library? I could not drag & drop, and I could not see any other way to do that. 

2) After that, how do I transfer the library containing the project to my thumb drive?

3) Next, what do I do to get the library and project from the thumb drive onto iMovie that is on my iMac?
