microsoft excel online percentages

Hey, does anybody know why when typing in % in Microsoft excel online, why they input backwards?

For example, if I type in 6.07 (into a box formulated for percentages) it will input 70.6% and instantly wrap text so the excel box expands.

It's really confusing and extends the work process having to remember to write these backwards so they're actually correct.
