Force Touch ID to use as an MFA?

Hello,

Our company required MFA upon rebooting the MacBooks. Currently we use DUO Mobile which is hit/miss. Does anyone know if you can force the Touch ID upon rebooting, entering your log on password, and then applying user fingerprint?

TouchID won't work until the Mac has fully booted. The hardware can't access the Security Enclave (where the biometric data is stored) unless you've logged in using a password. So, no, you can't do what you want with the built in TouchID.

You might want to look at a hardware option, like YubiKey. I'm sure there are other brands. That just happens to be the only one I know.
