HomePod mini plays on own

Only one phone connected to it. That phone on airplane mode.

I hardly use it and haven’t used it for ages. Meaning weeks.

I go to bed 10pm.

It starts playing music loudly at 2.30am and wakes neighbours and finally me - I am at back of flat with earbuds in in deep sleep. It is in front room.

I have had it for a couple of years and this has never happened before. But did just now 10th July 2024.

Why? It’s very disconcerting. Creepy. Adrenaline pumps through you when woken in middle of night wondering what the ****’s going on, walking into your living room to find it’s YOUR flat making the racket. (I thought it was a nighbour having a party.) I’m now writing in this community at 3.30am as can’t get back to sleep as am wired. VERY annoying. I’ve unplugged it and doubt I will ever plug it back in again unless someone can kindly give me a certain answer as to what happened and ensure this will never happen again.
