iMovie does not allow external camera

Not sure why you have purged this question and why you do not fix the problem... iMovie does not allow an external camera to be used. This is so antiquated. $2k for mac and no built-in capability for making videos with external cameras.

Try the procedure described in this link, for importing live video from an external camera, and see if it works for you.

By the way, this is a consumer forum. Apple does not reside here. I see no reason why your question would be “purged”, as you say, unless perhaps it contained intemperate language. Not implying that it did, of course.


You can live stream from your cell phone I know.
