I strongly recommend you not do this.

And a final warning. If you do install the Developer Beta on your iPhone and things don't work as is HIGHLY likely, you CANNOT come here and ask for ANY help with the beta in ANY WAY. Is it really worth potentially messing up your primary device to have access to software which is being tested to learn what doesn't work?

One additional thing to note. If you have an Apple Watch, you will need to update that to watchOS 11 in order for it to continue to work with your iPhone. But, unlike the iPhone, there is no way to revert the watch's OS back to watchOS 10. This could be a serious issue if you decide to revert your phone to iOS 17.

So, in concurrence with my colleagues, no, it's not okay.

Testing in production always works out well. 🤦🤦‍♀️🤦‍♂️

If you do decide to try that, create and keep a backup from iOS 17, as that is the only path to reverting, short of a reset.

You might want to use a spare Apple ID for iCloud as well, lest something iCloud get converted or corrupted, too.
