Only a couple days into my iPad Pro M4 and Apple Pencil Pro and I am ecstatic. If anyone is on the fence to upgrade, do it.
My issue is with Apple Pencil Pro and the selection for Tool Palette. It will not pop up. I changed it to free form and it works great. Any suggestions?

I am on my second iPad Air M2 11 inch and Pencil Pro in one week ! Both exhibit the same problem - when in either Notes or Freeform squeezing brings up the tool palette and allows me to select a new tool but the colour selector does not work. Trying to select a new colour just places a dot of the original colour on the page - no colour selection. A similar thing happens when I try to select the three dots at the right hand end of the tool pallet.
iPadOS is the latest (17.5.1)
Anyone else seen this or have a fix for this ?

I'm facing the same issue, couldn't select a colour- no colour selection at all even when I tap on the option. Each time I have to go to the main tool bar - since squeezing bar doesn't work well.
In settings on the iPad under Apple Pencil make sure you have Show Tool Palette as the option for Squeeze.
