why audio fades away effect in iMovie

if I trim a audio clip, the audio doesn't cut right away when there clip ends in the view. some part of it fades.

how to turn that feature off.

audio plays in between clips. like its transitioning. it stays after the clip ends and it lowers simultaneously and same with next audio clip. some trimmed part (unwanted) starts playing in a low volume till it gets to normal volume when the wanted part (not trimmed) part starts

hope you understand

Hi,

Put your cursor over the audio clip and you will see fade handles on the upper corner of each sides of the clip.

When you slide the handles toward the center of the clip, it will impart a fade, like this.

So, it may be that you have the fade handles engaged and thus imparting a fade. If so, slide the handles back out to the edge of the clip to remove the fade.
