Changing the direction of the scrolling text in "Ticker Title" in iMovie

There are no specific controls in iMovie for reversing the direction of the ticker title. However, you can try the following workaround:

1. Create a separate project for the purpose. In the separate project, create the ticker title over a black background. Insert the desired info.
2. Export the title project to the desktop.
3. Import the exported title clip into your main project.
4. In the main Project Media browser, select the title clip.
5. Crop the title clip in the Project Media browser so that only the ticker part displays.
6. Overlay the title clip in the upper timeline, over the desired clip.
7. Select the title clip and click on the speed icon (the one that looks like a clock in the toolbar in the upper right of the project screen).
8. When the speed controls appear, check the box for the "Reverse" option. The ticker will now scroll from left to right instead of the default right to left.
9. Use the Picture in Picture feature to insert the reversed ticker title into the desired clip, and adjust the size and position of the title.

Hopefully, the above workaround will leave you with a ticker title that plays in reverse.
