How to get Microsoft Office on a Mac?

As a student I was thinking to buy a macbook air m3 but I am worried about the basic Microsoft apps which I use the most like powerpoint, excel, and word. Would I need to pay seperate for that or can I use my old Microsoft account and just use the apps. I had a windows laptop earlier which I used to use on my Microsoft account.

If you have a current subscription to Microsoft 365 you can download Microsoft Office to your Mac without an additional charge.

If not, see the following for information about the price for Microsoft 365 subscription or for a one-time purchase of Office Home & Student: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/buy/compare-all-microsoft-365-products
