Is it possible to run Windows 10 on a MacBook Pro M2?

Hi, I’m not a tech person so would be very grateful for some help. I’ve just upgraded my MacBook Pro to one with a M2 chip. I was using windows on my old one installed using Bootcamp for a training course. Is there a way of installing windows 10 on my new one without paying a 3rd party to run/install

Thanks

Tom

No. The Apple Sillicon Macs (M1, M2 M3) do not support Bootcamp, as their architecture is fundamentally different to that of Windows PCs, and cannot run the regular X86 Windows versions directly like older Intel Macs can with Bootcamp.

You can run ARM versions of Windows 10 or 11 currently using a Virtual Machine such as Parallels (not free). Do note these ARM versions of Windows may not run traditional x86 Windows applications correctly.

If you need to run these, you will need an Intel Mac or an actual PC.
