My iPod is no longer recognized by my computer and Apple Devices. I need to upgrade the operating version but I can't do it unless I can get the computer to recognize it. I have music on my computer that I want to put on the iPad.

Can you sign in with your Apple ID and Password on your ipad? If you check iCloud and view your devices does your ipad show up in the list? On the other hand, are you trying to link directly to your computer from your ipad? When you say you need your computer to update your ipad Operating Version you should be able to do that with your ipad alone.
iPod not iPad. I was told my iPod was no longer supported but I was able to access it earlier today from my laptop which still had the iTunes app. Thanks for your reply.
