How do I revert a project back to it’s original in GarageBand?

I had a good music track and wanted to make it better, but after a while realized that it was better how it was. So I pressed command Z continuously to restore it but it just wouldn't undo after a while. Now my project is really bad 😭😭

Had you saved after the newer unwanted take?

You might be able to get it back via Time Machine.

I tried using time machine after you suggested, but it's not working the way all the tutorials are saying. When I enter time machine, I am not able to go back in time, for anything in fact, not just my GarageBand project.I tried clicking the up arrow and the bar on the right side, but none of them are moving even one day back in time. What do I do now?

How do I revert a project back to it’s original in GarageBand?
