iPhone screen time widget is incorrectly showing combined usage across all devices

Hi,

I have an iPhone 12 Pro running iOS 17.5.1. I use the Screen Time widget on my home screen, and recently the time shown in that widget includes the combined screen time data from all devices, rather than only including the usage from my iPhone, as it did previously.

For example, if I've used my iPhone for 1 hour and watched YouTube on my iPad for 2 hours, my iPhone Screen Time Widget will show 3 hours of usage, rather than just the 1 hour. The setting to "Share Across Devices" is now and has always been disabled on both devices.

When I go into Screen Time within Settings, only usage from my iPhone is shown (which is correct) so it seems to be an issue with the widget specifically.

I have tried removing and re-adding the widget, and also restarting both devices, but the issue persists.

I appreciate any help.

I’m having the exact same issue, and this doesn’t seem to address it. We’re saying that we want the screen time widget to display the phone stats only. And it won’t regardless of whether share across devices is on or off.

I’m glad your issue is resolved, but this doesn’t seem to be applicable to what I and others are reporting.

As mentioned in my previous comments, Share Across Devices is not enabled on any of my devices. The widget is still showing the combined time from all devices.

Had the exact same problem. Fixed by unsharing the data from the other devices. Went to macbook - screentime, and unchecked 'share with other devices'. Problem solved.

Thank you for the response. I am not part of family sharing. I am using the same Apple ID on both devices, however the option to “share across devices” is disabled.

I do not have the “Devices” option in my settings as this is the only device listed.

Hi, I seem to be having the same issue as you had, it started about a week ago and I haven’t been able to resolve it yet. It unfortunately means that the screen time limit set on my son’s iPad will not work because it thinks he has already had the amount of time that I have had on my iPad. Did you do anything to fix your issue? Tia

I don't have the "Devices" tab showing up on the right of my iPhone screen for Screen Time (have disabled sharing on all devices). And I'm the only family member option when long press the widget and select edit widget.

It's been like this for weeks, how did you stop this?

Experiencing the exact same problem. iOS 17.5.1. In my case, the iPhone widget is showing Mac time. But opening the widget (on the Settings -> Screen Time), it shows iPhone usage time. Please fix this Apple

Are you Part of Family sharing? Or

Do you have multiple devices using the same Apple ID? See the pic below which is self-explanatory.

I haven’t changed any settings, however as of yesterday this issue seems to have been resolved. My Screen Time widget is now correctly only displaying usage from my iPhone.
