Keynote movie export loses sound

I have recorded a Keynote presentation. When Keynote plays the recorded file, the sound is fine. But when I save it as an independent movie (MacBook uses .m4v automatically) the resulting movie has no sound. I checked all the settings I can think of, to no avail. With all of my previously recorded presentations, the movie export worked well. Any hints? Thanks!
