How to know what generation my iPod Classic is?
I'm trying to find out which generation of iPod classic I have
The last three characters of the serial number are sz9

iPad Pro, iPadOS 17
This cannot be determined by a serial number.
What model iPod is it? Find this in Settings > About > Model
Once you have that you should be able to find your iPod in the list in the support document Identify your iPod model - Apple Support
