Keynote on MacBook not starting video when being remote-directed by iPad

When I go through the presentation completely on my MacBook Air, the slide with a video starts automatically (as it should--I have "Start on click" deselected) but when I run it using my iPad to remote control the presentation the video doesn't start!?!

Now I admit that I did the testing at home and was in a remote location when I did it live. Is it possible that the video (which I imported from my home server) was loading from my home server and didn't get included in the .key file so it doesn't find it in the remote location? How can I be sure it's embedded in the .key file?
