Why does my iPod touch 7th gen make a tick noise when recording audio and video?

Ever since I've owned this iPod touch 7th gen I have had issues with a tick noise during audio recording and video recording. It's really annoying when I'm trying to create a voice memo or a video. The audio is corrupted every time during playback. I see that several other iPod touch 7th gen owners are experiencing the same thing. Has anyone found a solution yet to fix it?
