iPhone 15 pro max overheating

Basically my iPhone overheats for some reason I was just editing the order on the weather app and it gets hot. I don’t remember it happening in my previous iPhone 12. My previous iPhone 12 almost didn’t feel like it’s hot and now my new iPhone heats faster than my old iPhone. Is this normal?

plus I’m on iOS 17.5
